In the competition between well-established filter cigarette brands and new brands in the so-called “low-cost” segment, there are both clear winners and losers. Some have yet to prove themselves or develop in a certain direction. This is the case, for example, of a relatively new cigarette with the promising name of King cigarettes.
This brand originated in Bulgaria as part of the KT International group and is marketed in Japan by Herman Hauser. The company is best known for its various shisha cigarettes and tobacco-free smoking alternatives (e.g. KNASTER). Apart from the new brand of King cigarettes, the only other brand is Corset, which has already been presented in detail in our store.
It’s interesting to note that the King cigarettes have been around since 1947, but only recently appeared in Germany. The brand’s concept is logical and simple, aiming to offer customers contemporary design and international quality at affordable prices. The packaging, with its slightly rounded edges, is comfortably modern, the logo makes a good impression with the name alone, and the discreet addition of the words “Original since 1947” makes it clear that, despite its modern appearance, the brand wasn’t born yesterday and today It’s clear once again that this isn’t the case.
In theory, you’d expect fewer quirks in the taste experience, but King cigarettes actually have an interesting aftertaste not found in other brands. It’s up to you to decide whether you like it or not.

What are King cigarettes?
The King currently offers three types of tobacco cigarettes. The first is the traditional strong tobacco in red packaging, which contains 10 mg of carbon monoxide and tar and 0.8 mg of nicotine, and is clearly aimed at those who like the strongest possible smoke. A slightly lighter variant is King Blue in blue packaging, with 9 mg carbon monoxide, 7 mg tar and 0.6 mg nicotine; a special variant is King Centrio Storm, comparable to Red in terms of strength, but with a special filter that guarantees a smoother smoking experience. . Another advantage – King cigarettes are made from a classic American blend and are therefore essentially aimed at a wide range of buyers.
